From passion to profession: The story of how I became a fitness trainer
Hi everyone and welcome to the fourth and last part of my story. If you have missed out on the three other parts; make sure to check them out. Today is time for me to share the most important chapter of my journey: the story of how I became a certified trainer.
You see, transitioning from simply sharing my passion online to actually guiding people through their own journey was such an important and significant step in my own path. But how, when and why exactly did I decide to go down that path and make this dream come true?
Well, as my website grew, I started receiving countless messages from people asking for personal advice and guidance. They wanted more than just the generic tips and plans I shared in my website. It was like they craved guidance, the type that was personally tailored to their own needs and goals. Something that helped them become what they dreamed of. This is what inspired me to take my knowledge to the next level. I felt like it was my turn to give back what I’ve once taken to the fitness community. And that is what lead me to pursue formal training and get my certification as a fitness trainer.
It wasn’t that long after beginning that I realized becoming a trainer wasn’t just about understanding workout moves, rules and guidelines; it was about making a genuine impact in someone’s life. In my training style, science came first! I focused heavily on evidence-based practices. That is why every workout and diet plan that I create is meticulously tailored to the individual, grounded in the latest medical science and research.
In my belief, fitness doesn’t follow the same rules for everyone. Our bodies are absolutely wondrous and far far apart one another. That’s why I committed to sit down and design a completely personal workout and diet plan based on each of my client’s distinct needs, body type, fitness level, and personal goals.
My process begins with understanding my clients. On our first session together I ask you about your fitness history, lifestyle, habits, dietary preferences, health concerns and fitness goals. After also writing down your weight, height and calculating your BMI the planning starts. This method allows me to develop a plan that is specifically tailored for you, something that is able to challenge and motivate you but is also safe and sustainable.
These plans incorporate a balanced mix of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility work. I take your own preferences and schedule into account, because if a plan cannot adapt to your own lifestyle, it can not motivate you or keep you committed. So, each exercise is chosen not only for its effectiveness but also to ensure it aligns with the individual’s capabilities and interests. I also rely on research and nutritional guidelines to ensure that I can design a dietary plan that completely supports your fitness goals.
It might seem like a lot of work. But seeing my clients transform, both physically and mentally, makes it worth the effort. The journey of becoming a trainer has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my story, and I can’t wait to see where it leads next. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
