From 91 to 80: The story of how a decision changed my entire life

From 91 to 80: The story of how a decision changed my entire life

Hey there!

I think it’s long overdue to introduce the face behind this website. That is why I’ve decided to finally share my own story in this short series. But here’s a quick spoiler alert: My journey towards fitness wasn’t all fun and games!

You see, just like many of you, I wasn’t born into the world of fitness. In fact, I had to go through a lot. There was a time in my life where I could barely recognize myself in the mirror. I had completely let go of myself and I didn’t even care about the way I looked. That left me stuck at 91 kilograms, feeling helpless, sluggish and quite frankly not even like the person I used to be. I tried to convince myself that I need to accept who I’ve become, that this was just something inevitable, My destiny! But deep down, I knew I needed a change, not just for my body, but for who I used to be.

So, I did what anyone else would do when they’re lost. I tried to seek guidance. I turned to social media, using YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and every fitness blog I could find. I also spent too much money on equipment that, let’s be honest, I didn’t even use at first. That is when I realized, there is a serious lack of good, scientific content in this field, and I think that’s the main reason I decided to come up with this website. To help the ones out there trying to find their way towards the light.

Slowly, I started working out at home, then signed up to an actual gym. But that’s where the real struggle began. I didn’t always know what I was doing and frankly I almost never got it right at first try. There were days when I’d go, struggle with the weights, and question if this was even made for me. But somehow something stopped me from giving up. I kept trying and trying. You see, I actually showed up, consistently. And the moment I was finally able to see the result of that consistency, was the moment I fell in love with the process.

Dropping those 11 kilograms wasn’t even about fitting into a smaller size or looking better; it was about building a stronger, healthier and better version of myself. And honestly, my journey didn’t end when the scale hit 80 kg. If anything, that’s when the real transformation began, I had to learn how to fuel my body, stay disciplined, and build power and strength. That was when and where I came to the realization that fitness is a marathon.

Now, years later, here I am. Proud to call myself a trainer and bodybuilder. I’ve learned that fitness is about more than just losing weight or gaining muscle. It’s about showing up for yourself, day in and day out, even when motivation feels like a distant memory. And trust me, it’s never too late to start your own journey. If I can do it, so can you.

So now that I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge and passion with others, I love connecting with my readers and clients. You might find me giving tips on Twitter or posting a workout routine on this site, but at the end of the day, I’m just someone who’s been where you are—unsure, maybe even a little lost.

So, welcome to this space! Whether you’re here to learn, get inspired, or just curious, I’m glad you’re along for the ride.
